Specifications:This section allows you to customize your results for soils and building assumptions that will affect final balance.
Balance:EarthCalc asks for balance expectation so that we may check our results against this and to provide additional services to assist you in reaching balance desired.
Stripping:Removal of topsoil and vegetation. Indicate if this material is unsuitable off haul or reusable onsite.
Shrinkage:Loss due to compaction. Indicate if this factor should be applied to cut or fill side.
Subsidence: Loss due to erosion and settling.
Over-ex:Remedial grading to prepare supporting soil. Indicate depths, locations, and attach details when necessary. It is assumed quantities are remove and replace so please indicate if the material is unsuitable off haul.
Swell:Bulking of excavated materials. Indicate if this should be applied on cut or fill side.
Spoils:Known quantities you want applied to final balance. Can be fixed volume or can be indicated as calculable quantity (i.e. 100 CY / Unit).
Demolition:Removal of existing structures. This is assumed as unsuitable off haul so please indicate if this can be reused as earthwork fill or paving material.
Overbuilds:Pad blowup on commercial properties.
Setbacks:Residential pad limits. Include blowup if any.
Undercut:Rough grade detail in front yards of residential projects.
Pavement: Depth to subgrade on all finished surfaces.
